Dollars 4 Tic Scholars
The Kelsey B. Diamantis TS Scholarship Family Foundation, Inc. d/b/a Dollars 4 Tic Scholars is a South-Florida-based nonprofit that awards college scholarships nationwide to deserving students who face the daily challenges of Tourette Syndrome. The all-volunteer organization also sponsors fees for children to attend Tourette Syndrome summer camp. Through the financial encouragement of scholarships, Dollars 4 Tic Scholars helps students dealing with this neurological condition pursue their educational and career goals.
Paul Zelenkofske FAU Scholarship Fund
Created in honor of one of Shavell & Company’s original principals, the Paul Zelenkofske FAU Scholarship is presented annually by FAU to older, non-traditional students in the School of Accounting who work to support themselves.
Viner Scholars Foundation
The Viner Community Scholarship is a program that provides South Palm Beach County High School students with four-year scholarships to colleges and universities in the State of Florida public educational system.
The Viner Scholars Foundation has created a mentor network for the four year scholarship students in order to provide them with the guidance and support necessary to keep them on track as potential issues arise during their tenure at college, and to ensure the highest possible college graduation rates.
Personal Ponies is an all-volunteer organization which manages breeding programs and support programs to produce small United Kingdom Shetland ponies that bring a personal connection to families, children, seniors, veterans and special needs children who can benefit from interaction with a pony of small stature. Personal Ponies reaches anyone who may be “differently able” no matter the condition or situation. Programs include pony reading buddies, pony visits to military bases and VA hospitals, visits to nursing homes and adult day care centers and serving as pony ambassadors for community events.
VITAS Hospice Program
VITAS provides compassionate hospice care services across 14 states and the District of Columbia. Hospice gives seriously ill patients and their loved ones meaningful time together when the focus of care turns from active treatment to comfort and quality of life. VITAS Hospice care includes a full range of services that put patients and families in control of their remaining time together.
Alzheimer’s Association – The Longest Day
June 20, the day of the summer solstice – is the longest day of the year as well as the day with the most light. On this special day, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Exercise classes, sports, games, hobbies, the arts and parties – “The Day with the Most Light is the Day We Fight!”®
