Paul Zelenkofske FAU Scholarship Fund
Created in honor of one of Shavell Tax & Consulting’s original principals, the Paul Zelenkofske FAU Scholarship is presented annually by FAU to older, non-traditional students in the School of Accounting who work to support themselves.
Personal Ponies
Personal Ponies is an all-volunteer organization which manages breeding programs and support programs to produce small United Kingdom Shetland ponies that bring a personal connection to families, children, seniors, veterans and special needs children who can benefit from interaction with a pony of small stature. Personal Ponies reaches anyone who may be “differently able” no matter the condition or situation. Programs include pony reading buddies, pony visits to military bases and VA hospitals, visits to nursing homes and adult day care centers and serving as pony ambassadors for community events.
VITAS Hospice Program
VITAS provides compassionate hospice care services across 14 states and the District of Columbia. Hospice gives seriously ill patients and their loved ones meaningful time together when the focus of care turns from active treatment to comfort and quality of life. VITAS Hospice care includes a full range of services that put patients and families in control of their remaining time together.
Jewish Family Services Volunteer
The Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services agency provides Behavioral Health Services, Family & Children's Services, Food & Financial Assistance and Senior Services to the Boca Raton and Delray Beach communities, regardless of race, age, or religion. The agency offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups and families.
